TCG Card Shop Simulator Tipps and Tricks
Tipps, tricks QoL, profits, Card Pulls etc. This guide has a lot of Information about everything
The early hours
The early rush sometimes can be quite overwhelming so if you dont have the Very Fast cashier, be at the register for a while after opening the shop this will avoid you loose money gain because some customers will delay the time they go to the table and play.or leave the store because they have to wait. rotating Customer is very important for Revenue gain because Customer limit is depending on your shop Level and Expansion
Your workers will work before you open your Shop so if you have shelves to restock you can use their free labor to your advantage.
You should prepare your shop for the day to not have something major going on while the day is running because you might loose customer
Rounding prices
Here comes one of THE MOST IMPORTANT tipp i can give you. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER do prices like $5.34 or $2.03 and so on. Always go for rounded or half a $ amount. If you or your Worker are giving change you have to do extra steps. For you this might be ok but imagine your worker having to hand out $4.89. He has to grab 4x1$, 1x50cent, 1x25cent, 1x10cent, 4x1cent. which equals 11 actions just to give the money back.
Here is a formula you can go with all items and single cards you sell
Market value > +10% > round price. If the value is like $2.03 + 10% + round price would qual $2 so you can also just type 2.5 in the price and you will be fine.
Some people on the Discord said they go for +20% on items and +30% on singles but I just go with +10%. Try it for yourself what works for you.
Smelly Customer
You are annoyed with the smelly customers in your Shop? Use 2 of the Auto scent M100 (yes you need 2) to get rid of them. Sometimes 1 stinker will pass because the Sprayer has a cooldown after spraying. But be aware, you need to refill them with cleanser if they run out
Selling Cards
Displaying Cards is a nice profit gain in the very beginning but can be quite annoying if done wrong.
To display your cards the right way just open your binder and right-click the cards you want to display. You can hold up to 8 cards in your hand. If your hand is full just close the binder and left-click empty space on your card display! Dont worry, if you accidently grabbed a card you dont want to sell just close and open the binder again (sadly you place your whole hand in there again)
Missing a ghost card you pulled?
If you open packs and Draw a ghost rare it is not gone! Just open your binder and press F and sort ghost on the left
See what cards you miss from a set
If you want to see which cards you are missing you can simply open your binder and press F then sort the Expansion you want and click on number. this gives you an indication on which cards you are missing on the card you see which rarity this card is so you know what pack you have to open to finish this set. At the moment you have to look at every page which hase the rarity you are trying to complete and see if the site is full or not
Playing Tables
Sometimes I encountered a bug with customers getting stuck between table and wall to avoid that just place them as far away so you can just walk between them.
Also if you have 1 long row of tables cut them in half so the customers need less time to arrive at the table they want to play so they occupy that table for less time. A good number for tables are 7-9 but more than that is a waste
If you encounter customers that are sitting alone at a table after 9PM just walk up to the table and press Q(default) to move the table. The customer will get up and maybe will grab some stuff so you get another sale. This also works for customer that are in the middle of a game
Tables are super trash at the moment so not worth getting
There are Events which have different effect. Events can be accessed by clicking on a table or with you smartphone on the manage event app.
They have a different cost which will be taken at the start of the day.
The Fee basicly says how much you gain from the customer playing the game per hour. Sometimes they do play more than just one hour or less so dont get confused why you get different amounts of money from them.
Opening packs
There is a lot to be said about this, I just give some tipps here.
- Try to Open packs in between doing refills and checkouts to optimize idle time.
- If you have shelves and these shelves are labeled with the pack you are opening your worker might take that box away from you. You can avoid this by using a personal shelf, your worker wont touch this.
- Opening packs before you open your shop or after you have closed your shop because the time only runs if you have opened till 9PM. If the timer reaches 8PM the time will not move forward.
The speed of opening packs is quite slow, you can adjust the speed of opening packs in the Settings menu. Just turn the slider to the speed you feel like.
Also if you are opening Packs you can hold your LEFT Mouse button to keep opening.
There are 2 more methods you can use, there are not really worth it but for some they might be a relief.
- The first method is simple hold left click while opening and Alt-Tab out of the game while holding left click. Now if you tab in the game again it will behave as if you would still hold.
- The second Method is to rebind your "interact" in the Keybind setting to Numpad 7, hold this Key and turn of the Numpad this will also simulate left click.
Sometimes buying packs can be more expensive than buying boxes. If you are restocking yourself or want to open packs and save some money just buy boxes. You can take them in the hand and open them with pressing R to get the packs inside.

See how many packs you have opened
Until the stat pages is implemented to the game there are only 2 ways to see how many packs in total you have opened. The first method is with mods and the second is checking the save file.
First save your game.
- To access the save file you go to your %appdata% folder
- go one folder back then you go into the folder LocalLow
- search for OPNeonGames > CardShopSimulator
- in there you find savedGames_Release2.json / any other release also
- Check the Date when this file was last edited, this is your current saved Save file
- open it with Notepad or whatever and press CTRL + F to open the search window
- Type in open and click on find next once more
This will show you the overall opened packs for that save file since day 1
Customer Limit
In the Discord was a pinned message and I am going to copy it in here:
Max Customer Count = 1 + (Shop Expansions Unlocked × 1.25) + Shop Level + (Half of sitting down customers) Result is clamped between 3 and 28
So, yes, sitting down customers do affect max customer count, but they do not increase it beyond the 28 cap"
So basicly, expansion and shop level increase your customer count. If you want to go for profit do not place playing tables and place your stuff close to the door. If you want many Visitor and sale try to maximize the customer rotation, that means get them in and out as fast as possible.
Achievement tipps
THE Card Shop
Set up 3 tables next to each other and close to the door and just stay there. As soon as a game is beeing started press Q on that table so they stand up and move on. This increased my played games per day by 100+%.
Legendary Shop
This basicly comes with playing but this can take while. So if you want to obtain this faster use my Endgame Shop strategy and open packs like a maniac
Capitalism HO!
Easy to obtain with my shops strategy
Ultimate Seller
I am sure some of you will leave this achievement for quite a while because the only card you pulled that is worth 10k in the last 50hours is your shiny shiny Foil ghost card YAY
Just manualy save your game to 2 different save slots e.g. slot 2 and slot 3 because sometimes it can happen that you save your game because you are so used to this and you dont want regret not having made another save. Now you going to sell your 10k card and if that card is sold you simply go to the Main menu and reload your save.
All other Achievements are obtained while playing usualy.

LvL 1 - 30 Strategy
10 Days of Burnout
This strategy literaly almost cracked me. If you like going fast with a good Income and you are good in micromanagement this is a good strategy for you. I did need 44 Days because I lost 1 Day due to me forgeting to resupply and a few Days for not opening packs. My shop was almost opened every minute of me beeing in that savegame, I had around 15minutes of not opening the shop in total but I did not open packs except in the beginning.
I made a rough calculation: I opened 3x64 booster and the average per pack was around 19.xx but lets say 18exp on avg. 18642=2304 (2 because you can open easy 2 per day) exp per day so starting with Day 10 to LvL 20. 102304=23040 which is equal to almost 6 days worth of experience If you open more you can maybe save 7-10 or even more Days which would bring the overall Days to about 37Days12min=7,4h . It could be even less depending on you and the packs
Priority: Checkout > Refill > Supply > Opening packs
The first day you open 2x32 Booster till you hit lvl 4 and buy the Big license for the booster boxes.
Buy 2 small cabinet and buy boxes with the rest. On Day 3 sell the shelf ou started with and move on.
Day 3-10 increase small cabinet amount to 6 and keep selling till Day 10.
On Day 10 buy both workers and keep expanding you shop everytime you are able to.
With Day 10 you have a bit more chill and can implement opening packs in between, but do keep in mind the priority! So do not take more than 2 packs in hand to decrease the the Delay on checkout.
Keep doing this till Level 25 and now your priority changes.
Supplys > Opening packs > Refill > Checkout
My Endgame shop
This is the Setup I will go till LvL 100 because I cannot figure out a better way to gain more Customers / Sales.
This strategy involves selling only 1 Item, buying supplys as much as you can to have more time to AFK or time opening packs, refilling sprayers (quite often) and paying bills. No need to check your storage or anything else.
Try to place all the stuff close to the entrance to reduce walking time in the store. My personal experience showed that storage shelfes bring down the revenue but this can become a big mess so if you have OCD you better get those warehouse shelfes close and maybe some more workers to restock.
The way I had my store set up before was fun but SUPER annoying, slow exp gain, constant resupply, empty shelves, this and that and so on.
I have tried with playing tables and without and I can say having no tables is making MUCH more money and experience.
(Old Data but this was the gain when I started this method)
With tables AVG around 20k rev with 2.6k exp
Without tables AVG 30k rev with 4.6k exp
I have hired all Employees except the first 2 because they are trash.
At this point you NEED the wide shelf. This is the best shelf for selling a lot of items.
The Revenue is going from 100k - 135k USD and Exp is around 6k+ on AVG without opening packs
It is important to place Sprayers in Shop B they will spray through the wall. The third on the right is optinal but it got some use so I just kept it.
After a while of afk and opening packs and reordering supplys you shop might look like this
If you order your supplys click on the + button, if it shows Quantity of 2 you are now able to spam Spacebar and enter to increase the Quantity you are ordering (idk if autoclicker works).
I am buying 700 supplys which lasts me a few days,.
For my pack opening Area I just use this Setup. I have a warehouse shelf for the packs I am opening and as soon as I reorder packs my workers bring them to the shelf if they got time and I dont need to look through the mess above.
If you take boxes out of the shelf make sure to pick the shelf up and box it so it does not become a viable option for your workers anymore so they dont take your boxes and store them on the shelf again
Discord
If you got some more Questions just join the TCG Trading card Shop Community Discord server which you can find at the Main menu in the bottom right. The Community there is always really helpful as far as I can tell. Discord can be accessed in the Main menu on the bottom right if you do not trust the Link.
